I live in a seaside community in Northeast Florida where I am a mother and writer. I have a master’s degree in education and have always been passionate about teaching and learning. I’ve worked as an elementary school teacher and view childhood as a critical stage laying the foundation for compassion and creative thinking. From this perspective, my mother, Sharon Elliott, and I co-wrote A Child’s Way: Slowing Down for Goodness Sake, a lovely little book which opens our hearts to the ways in which children help us to reach our potential.
The birth of my daughter in 2007 was a peak, transformational experience which I continue to use as a guiding metaphor for giving birth to anything in me which is creative. A lover of words and freedom, my writing reflects an openness to the unknown and unexpected. I draw from the essence of my own experiences and further global awareness by creating new perspectives and connecting mind with heart. I believe we are moving toward a world based on the oneness of all things, and as we evolve ourselves, we evolve the world.
